Pre-K Early Learning Collaborative

A child’s early years lay the critical foundation for long-term academic achievement. Because early childhood education and family involvement are two of the most powerful predictors of educational success, Lamar County Schools is committed to ensuring that children receive high-quality classroom experiences and to equipping parents and guardians with resources to support their children at home.

Application Requirements

Child Applicant...

must be at least 4 years old by September 1, 2026
must be toilet-trained
must reside within the school attendance zone of the application
required to attend an in-person screening (April 20th - 29th)

*Notifications regarding acceptance status will be sent to families by May 11.

*If accepted, the parent or guardian must complete registration on Active Parent and upload all necessary documents by May 22nd.
